From my comfy position, propped up on pillows in the back of Charlotte, I can see the spruce and birch lined gravel road wind ahead of us with Ned, always the road warrior, driving

  1. I’m loving this adventure (minus the broader harassment ). I think we need to plan a fishing trip and spend a few days on the river together. I LOVE fishing!

Long shot, but if you are slowly making your way home, and want to play…. we will be in eastern Oregon, on the back country discovery route, from the 18th -27th.

    Love you two, and Charlotte!

  2. Wow, nice post and beautiful photos. I’m glad I met you guys just outside Homer, now I’m a follower and can’t wait for the next post. You guys are doing Alaska the way I would like to do, slow and visiting out of the way places. This was my second time in Alaska. Thanks for mentioning me and my blog. I rode all the way to Prudhoe Bay and then to Valdez on my bike in 2012. Loved every second of it. I’m sorry to hear about your border crossing issue, it’s seems to be a normal thing for Canadian borders and one thing that disappoints me about Canada. I had a similar issue in 2012, they even unrolled my sleeping bag and took everything out of my bike panniers. The asshole even dropped one of my camera pieces to the floor, luckily it didn’t break. In the end they found nothing wrong and were trying to be nice but I didn’t smile and when they said I could go I took off and didn’t say thank you either. Left me with a bad impression. This time it wasn’t bad but lots of questions as if us 4 travelling in an RV were criminals. I’m glad to hear you had better border crossings in South America. I’m heading there in 2 years.
